Background: The CasiOak Gets Tactical

Casio officially launched the GA-2100CM camouflage series in the United States on March 4, 2026. The two new models — the GA2100CM-5A and GA2100CM-8A — bring a military-inspired camo finish to the GA-2100 platform, better known in the watch community as the “CasiOak” for its octagonal bezel resemblance to the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak. The watches had already gone on sale in the UK before crossing the Atlantic.

The GA-2100 has been one of G-Shock’s most important platforms since its 2019 launch. Its slim profile, Carbon Core Guard structure, and mod-friendly octagonal case have made it a staple for both everyday wearers and the custom watch community. The CM series marks the first time Casio has applied a full camo treatment — bezel, band, and case — to the GA-2100 base.

The Two Models

The GA-2100CM series arrives in two colorways:

  • GA2100CM-5A — A desert-inspired palette with beige and sand tones. Designed for a lighter, civilian-utility look.
  • GA2100CM-8A — A darker earth-tone scheme in black, gray, and muted reddish-brown. More tactical in feel.

Both share the same case shape and module. The only difference between the two is the colorway of the camo pattern applied to the bezel and integrated band.

Design Details: More Than Just a Camo Wrap

Casio did not simply apply an off-the-shelf camouflage print. The brand embedded its iconic “G” motif directly into the pattern using metallic printing, creating moments where the logo appears and disappears depending on lighting and viewing angle. This gives the design a level of visual depth and subtlety that sets it apart from more conventional branded camo products.

The case and band are constructed from bio-based resin — a move that signals Casio’s ongoing shift toward more sustainable materials across the G-Shock line without compromising on durability or shock resistance.

Key Specs

The GA-2100CM uses the same proven GA-2100 dimensions: 48.5 × 45.4 × 11.8 mm, 51 g. It runs on the 5611 module with Carbon Core Guard structure and is water-resistant to 200 meters. Standard features include world time for 31 time zones, a 1/100-second stopwatch, a 24-hour countdown timer, five daily alarms, and a double LED system with Super Illuminator for both the analog face and digital display.

The Nigo Sticker Set

Both models ship with a free Nigo sticker set as part of Casio’s ongoing “WE ARE STICKERS NOW!” promotional campaign with the influential designer and music producer. Nigo — founder of BAPE and current creative director of Kenzo — has a long history with G-Shock collaborations, and the sticker bundle adds a streetwear collectible element to an otherwise utilitarian release. The sticker set is listed on the official G-Shock US website as a gift-with-purchase on eligible models.

US Availability and Price

Both the GA2100CM-5A and GA2100CM-8A are priced at $145 each and are available at the official Casio G-Shock US online store. At the time of publication, the GA2100CM-8A is listed as “Buy Now” while the GA2100CM-5A shows “Notify Me,” suggesting the sand-tone variant is already running low on stock.

The Mod Angle: A Natural Base for Metal Upgrades

The GA-2100CM is fully compatible with all existing GA-2100 and GA-2110 series aftermarket mod kits. The camo bezel and band are the factory-installed resin components — everything underneath is standard GA-2100 platform. That means swapping in a stainless steel case kit, metal bracelet, or custom dial from a shop like Casioak Studio is a direct fit.

The contrast of a metal mod kit over the camo-patterned base creates a look that no stock watch currently offers: the tactical texture of the CM resin peeking through a brushed steel or rose gold case frame. For customizers who want something genuinely different as a starting point, the GA-2100CM is one of the more interesting base models to land in the US this year.
